You will know the difference the minute you try to pick one up. They are made of heavy wire and heavy
castings, with excellent sealed bearings using synthetic grease. Many of the generator heads that come from
China are of very poor quality. We
know the difference. These are premium
generator heads that are perfect for belt drive from a diesel engine. All prices are FOB Oregon. No sales tax. All units are 4 pole, 1800 RPM, 60
CPS, and are wired for both 120 volts and 240 volts AC. |

NOTES: 1 horsepower is approximately 750 watts, 10
horsepower is equal to 7.5 kilowatts.
Always pick a diesel engine larger than your intended kilowatts. For example, use a 10 HP engine to run a
7.5 KW generator. Run your engine below maximum RPM. For example, run a 2200 RPM engine at 1800
to 2000 RPM. On our engines, once you
set the throttle, the built-in governor will hold the desired speed. Select your gearing or pulleys so that the generator
runs at 1800 RPM. You can buy a handheld laser tachometer made by
“Nicety” for under $30. Every pulley, belt, gear box known to man is
available at 1 millimeter is approximately
0.0394 inches. Chinese shaft
dimensions are always given in millimeters.
We suggest you buy your generator head and then measure the shaft
dimensions. The Chinese may change the
shaft dimensions without giving us any notice. |
